QuickBooks Error: QWC1040

Overview

QuickBooks can throw some errors with the Desktop connection. QBWC1040 is a common error, and below are the steps on how to correct this. If you happen to need a new QWC file for your setup, please send our support team an email.

"QBWC1040:

Web connector did not provide a valid password for the given username. Job ending."

This is an error message you may see in Step 13 of setting up your QuickBooks Desktop connection in Kindful. The password referenced can be found on your QuickBooks Desktop App Settings page. On step 13, click the button that says HERE, then copy the password and add it to the Webconnector.
