Overview
This article is an FAQ about Registration Forms
Linked Articles:
I made a form to give to volunteers, how do I send it to them?
Your form can be accessed via a URL. Click "View" from the Registration Forms page on the particular form you wish to share to access the public URL. Copy this URL to link out from your email or social sites.
Do you have any options for this where registrants wouldn't have to print off and re-upload an attached item, but could do an "e-sign" or check box?
Yes, if you create or edit a registration form, you can select an Element Type of "Registration Custom Field" and choose "Checkbox" as your Input Type. Then set the Label and add the field.
Can I embed a payment option on a registration form?
In order to prompt your registrations to complete a payment, we would recommend using the "redirect URL" on your form to guide them to a donation page after they submit. Alternatively, if you require payment before the registration is completed, you can redirect to this registration form after they complete a payment on a campaign page. You can set your campaign's redirect URL in each campaign's settings.
You can also checkout our Kindful Events feature for this.
Are your registration forms secure?
Yes! Registration forms utilize CAPTCHA to make sure that each registration is completed by a real person.
Can these forms be used for ticketing?
If you are looking for a solution that allows for people to register for an event individually, yes. You could potentially use the registration receipt email that you customize as this person's "ticket". This can be particularly ideal if the event is free. However, this is not a full ticketing solution.
You can checkout our Kindful Events feature for this.
We also recommend utilizing the platforms of our incredible integration partners such as Eventbrite and TicketSpice (via Webconnex) if you're looking for a robust ticketing system. These integrations seamlessly sync ticket purchases into Kindful.
How should I setup the form to update existing profiles already in Kindful?
There may be some people who complete this form who are already in your database. If you'd like the information they fill out in this form to replace existing data that may already be in their contact profile, make sure to select the option to override their existing data. This option is on by default. In the example below, the top box kicks in a lookup by email of existing contacts, and the second box determines whether existing values or newly-incoming values are given precedence.
In the event you want to set up a Kindful form to update existing contact profiles, you will want to select both boxes to both Prevent duplicate registrations.... and Override an existing contact's....
How can I be notified of new registrations?
You can set this notification via email in the Configure window for your registration form. Additionally, you can head to your Account > User settings and enable Registration Notifications on any Admin User in your account.
Of Note: Only choose one of these settings per user; otherwise, you will receive double notifications.
How can I get an export of this Registration data?
To export information here, head to Contacts & Activities > Forms and within the card view of the particular form, if you have registrations, you will see a link indicating the number of registrations for that form, along with a hyper link to Export that data. Click this to receive a spreadsheet of information emailed to you.
How do I delete the image I added into the header of a registration page?
The only option in this scenario is to upload a new image, so we've attached a blank white image to the bottom of this article you can download and then upload into your registration form. This will return the header to a white image rather than the one you uploaded.
Can I remove the gray bar along the top with our organization name in it?
No, this bar will remain on the page.
How can I get rid of the empty sections on the right-hand side of the page?
When you are editing your form (e.g. adding new elements), erase all text from the right-hand side of the page, including any title bar text that you can erase in the "Registration form subtitle" section. When you do not add any files in the Downloads section, that section will not show on the public registration page.
