Kindful is happy to announce Wealth Insights, a powerful new module enabling fundraisers to identify major gift opportunities and help them target the right contacts with the right ask—allowing them to save time and raise more funds.

Wealth Insights Summary Report

Every contact in your Kindful account is pre-screened for wealth data & wealth indicators. The result of this wealth screening is aggregated into a summary report that’s available to all Kindful subscribers.

To access this report: visit Fundraising > Wealth Insights

Why this report is valuable

Use the Wealth Insights Summary Report to:

  • Determine if adding Wealth Insights on to your subscription would be valuable to your organization:
    • How many of your contacts were found in the wealth screening?
    • How many of your contacts have the Highest Propensity to Give? These contacts are up to 15 times more likely to give a large gift of $5,000 or more. Identifying and focusing your time and efforts on these contacts first will save your organization resources.
    • How many of your contacts have a Capacity to Give of $5,000, $10,000, or more?
    • Print the report (use your web browser's Print option) to share and discuss with key members in your organization.
  • Familiarize yourself with the additional data in Detailed Contact Profiles (available to Wealth Insights Level 3 subscribers). 
  • Find contacts who are missing name or address data. Once you update Person contacts with names and addresses, Kindful will screen those contacts as well.
  • Consider Kindful's recommendations for using Wealth Insights.

More about this report

Kindful continues to screen new and updated contacts for wealth data and wealth indicators, so check back regularly to see how your contact base changes over time. Updates happen quickly, but in some cases it may take up to 24 hours for wealth data on a new or updated contact to appear in your Kindful account.

Since this report contains financial data, it is not visible to Basic Data Entry users.


Contacts by Capacity Report

Subscribers to Wealth Insights Level 3 have access to an additional "Contacts by Capacity" report which further analyzes your contacts who have a Capacity to Give of $50,000 or more.

Explore this segment of contacts by three dimensions of your relationship with them:

Recency

How recently have they contributed to your organization?

You may have a stronger relationship with contacts who have given more recently versus contacts who have not contributed recently.

Frequency

How frequently do they contribute to your organization?

You may have a stronger relationship with contacts who give more often versus contacts who have contributed only one time.

Amount

What is the total Lifetime Contribution these contacts have made to your organization?

You may have a stronger relationship with contacts who have contributed more money versus contacts who have contributed smaller amounts to your organization.

Why this report is valuable

Use the Wealth Insights Contacts by Capacity report to:

  • Get a deeper insight into your organization's relationship with this segment of contacts:
    • More recent transactions, more frequent transactions, and larger historical contribution amounts are all indicators that your organization already has a strong relationship with the contact. 
  • View the contacts within each segment and add them to a group in Kindful.
  • Inform strategic planning conversations by using the summary-level data to assess how well your fundraising strategy is working.

Additional Reporting Features

Subscribers to Wealth Insights Level 2 or Level 3 receive additional reporting capabilities.


Level 2 Segmenting & Reporting

Subscribers to Wealth Insights Level 2 have easy access to powerful filters (known as "Basic Search") found on the Contacts page.

To access Wealth Insights Basic Search: 

Subscribe to Wealth Insights Level 2
visit Contacts & Activities > Contacts
In the Basic Search section, click the Wealth Insights tab

Use these basic search filters to easily find contacts by Wealth Insights data points.

For example, apply the "LYBUNT" filter and then "Propensity to Give = Highest" filter to find contacts you may want to reach out to personally about making another gift this year.

Advanced Filtering

Subscribers to Wealth Insights Level 2 also have access to ten Wealth Insights contact filters to enable finding and segmenting contacts based on the following data points:

  • Foundation Board Member
  • Gifts to Organizations Like Mine
  • Propensity to Give
  • Largest Gift Found

Level 3 Segmenting & Reporting

In addition to the Wealth Insights Level 2 reporting features, Level 3 subscribers have access to more filters, more powerful built-in reports, and the ability to export key Wealth Insights data points.

Enhanced Built-in Reports

Kindful's built-in LYBUNT, SYBUNT, and Giving List reports become more powerful with the addition of the following two Wealth Insights data points:

  • Propensity to Give
  • Estimated Capacity

Exporting Wealth Insights

Your organization has infinite flexibility to track, analyze, and report upon your contacts based on the following seven key Wealth Insights data points.

For example, create and save a report that includes contacts' Estimated Capacity and Propensity to Give. Schedule to receive the report via weekly email from Kindful.

Or, export a list of contacts from Kindful to a .csv file to discuss with your colleagues. Include Wealth Insights data points such as Estimated Capacity and Propensity to Give in order to inform your discussion.
