How to Use Kindful for Adding Volunteers

This is how we see it being used and set up successfully.

We have Custom Fields that can be added to contact profiles.

These can be used in a number of ways. We would suggest using a Person Type field, and make it a select or multi-select option, and then for your Volunteers you can select this option upon entry.  Also, you can filter for these fields easily.

Then, you could use additional custom fields to track their levels of interest, where they volunteered, and how many hours they put in.

We recommend tracking hours incrementally per period as volunteers come in and help out.

Additionally, you can move all of these contacts that you set as Person Type: Volunteer in to a group called volunteers. This is helpful if you are using other applications on your account like Mailchimp or Emma for email marketing; the Groups you create in Kindful will move to those solutions are targeted Send To Lists.

Use our Registration Forms as a great tool to begin collecting interest for your Volunteers.

If this solution does not meet your needs, please see the linked article above showcasing integrated applications we work with that support volunteer management.
