QuickBooks Error: QBWC1039

Overview

QuickBooks can throw some errors with the Desktop connection. QBWC1039 is a common error, and below are the steps on how to correct this. If you happen to need a new QWC file for your setup, please send our support team an email.

"QBWC1039: There was a problem adding the application. Unique OwnerID/FileID pair required."

This is an error message you may see in Step 9 of setting up your QuickBooks Desktop connection in Kindful.  This step is where you choose the qwc file and open it.  If you find yourself seeing this error, please try these steps:

  1. Try going to the following location in QuickBooks.
  2. Edit > Preferences > Integrated Applications > Company Preferences
  3. If "kindful production" is there, please remove it and retry the steps again.
