Payment for Stripe in Action

Now that you've completed the setup for using Payment for Stripe, let's walk through the steps of actually taking a donation.

First off, you will need a data connection or WiFi to your iOS or Android device.  With the Payment for Stripe application launched on your mobile device, you will have a screen to enter the donation amount.

Once the amount is entered, tap "Next" in the top right corner.  On the card screen that follows, swipe or dip their credit card via the connected card reader now to fill in the payment fields, then click the Contact icon to add their information.  It's very important to add at least name and email or else you will end up with blank or incomplete data attached to the transaction in Kindful.

As you'll read on this screen, all fields are optional, but you'll want to capture at least the donor's name and email so that information populates into Kindful and they will receive a receipt.  If you do not fill out this information, you may see transactions attached to an unknown contact.

Note: there is an "Existing Customer" section which will allow you to just select the contact/card and bypass the swipe process altogether.

After you're done entering contact info, you will have an option to "Charge" in the top right corner.  Once that's done, the donation is complete!  Within the next few seconds, the contact data will flow into Kindful.  Should you encounter any issues, you can get help on the Payment for Stripe support page.
