Use this integration to help manage online auctions and see the data flow into your Kindful account. This article explores the ClickBid integration, giving an overview of the integration's services, as well as how to connect Kindful with ClickBid.
ClickBid overview
ClickBid is a powerful bidding application that collects bids, bidder information and manages check-in and check-out. ClickBid provides great value by increasing the ability to bid, eliminating the need for calculations of bidder totals, long lines at item tables, and clogged check-in and check-out areas.
With the ClickBid integration you can:
- Add a new tool to your online fundraising techniques, housing all contact and gift records from your various auctions in your Kindful database.
- Sync all your bidder and giving data between ClickBid and Kindful.
- Automatically create Kindful contacts when donors give or bid via ClickBid.
- Sell tickets and create a pre-event landing page for your fundraising event.

If you're already using ClickBid and looking to connect to Kindful, visit the Kindful App Directory or login to ClickBid/BidKit and set up the Kindful integration from ClickBid.
Before you begin
Before you connect ClickBid and Kindful, review these resources:
Connecting ClickBid to Kindful
Go to BidKit account here and select Login in the top right.
Enter your ClickBid account credentials here and select Login.
Choose Settings on the left sidebar, then Integrations underneath.
Here you should see a handful of integrated services. Kindful is located in the bottom right. Choose Authenticate with Kindful to start linking.
Note: In the screenshot you’ll notice that we are already authenticated. If you ever experience connection errors or issues, you can come back to this page to press Re-Authenticate with Kindful to get new authentication values. |
Next, you'll be directed to your Kindful account. Log in to your account and allow BidKit to connect with your Kindful account. You'll be returned to BidKit when complete.
Now you're ready to import Kindful contacts into your ClickBid account.
Syncing contacts from Kindful to ClickBid
In your BidKit account, choose Kindful Settings on the left sidebar, then Import Bidders to display all your Kindful contacts. The resulting list is searchable, and those records that you can import will have clickable checkboxes and blue pancake circle icons at the end of their row.
To import a contact, choose one or more checkboxes and press Import Contact in the top right. You may also import one at a time by choosing the pancake circle icon at the end of any contact.
Once imported, the record is no longer selectable and the pancake icon is gone for that record.
Tip: Before your event, we suggest you only import contacts with valid methods of communication (phone and/or email). Without this information you wouldn't be able to communicate to the guest. |
Using ClickBid at an auction
Check out ClickBid's how-to videos to learn how you can register bidders, and add contact info for those whom you may have imported previously without communication info.
Exporting ClickBid data to Kindful
Bidding continues until the item closing times have been reached. Once bidding is complete, you can log in to your BidKit account (using your ClickBid credentials) and choose Kindful Settings, then Export Sales from the left sidebar.
From here, you'll get a list of all sales from ClickBid. ClickBid will automatically link those to contacts you brought over from Kindful either before or during the event.
Similar to importing contacts, you can choose multiple sales by selecting the checkbox next to its record or one at a time by choosing the pancake icon at the end of their row.
Pressing Export Sales will send those sales to Kindful and link them to their contact record.
Records sent to Kindful are queued up and processed in the order received. This can take up to 5 minutes to complete. When complete, you will see sales listed in the Activities page of your Kindful account.
